It seems inconceivable that after 46 years of service to my people and my community, I am about to spend three years in a federal lockup. However, as the song says, “Keep your Eyes on the Prize”. BOSTON – On Thursday, March 24th, at 7 p.m., the night before he will begin serving a federal prison sentence, former City Councilor Chuck Turner will participate in a forum entitled “Framing the Innocent: Crimes Under Color of Law at the Massachusetts US Attorney’s Office.”
The event is being organized to draw attention to serious misconduct within the office of the US Attorney in
The event will take place in Room 240 of Northeastern University’s Dockser Hall (
Turner and the other organizers of the event believe that prosecutorial abuse within the US Attorney’s office hasn’t been given the scrutiny it deserves. Massachusetts Supreme Court Justice Mark L. Wolf, who has been a leader in exposing and censuring the US Attorney’s office for its criminal misconduct, is on record stating that there is a “dismal history of intentional and inadvertent violations” on the part of the US Attorney’s office.
The forum is designed to educate the public about the ways in which the abuses by the US Attorney incriminate innocent people and jeopardize the prospects for justice.
